Legal education:
The Attorney-at-law Eleonora González Villaverde studied her Law Degree at Instituto Tecnolóogico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey, where she acquired her university degree in December 2002. She has taken several diplomas, including: Diploma in Corporate Law from the Universidad Iberoamericana; Diploma in Foreign Trade from the World Trade Institute in the city of Bern, Switzerland; Diploma in Tax Law from COPARMEX, as well as a Diploma in Technology of the Information and Communication from the Academia Mexicana de Derecho Informático. She has a master’s in law from The University of Illinois, College of Law in Urbana-Champaign in May 2003, and she is constantly being updated.
Trajectory:
The Attorney-at-law Eleonora González Villaverde has accomplished her professional practices since 1998 during summers at Consultoría Legal Empresarial, S.C.; from February to May 2000, she made professional practices in the Tax area in Cemex, S.A. de C.V. in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León; from January to December 2000, she also made professional practices with the Santos, Elizondo, Cantú, Rivera, González, De La Garza, S.C. firm, located in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. Since January 2001, she has been a member of Consultoría Legal Empresarial, S.C., where she occupies the position of Council Secretary and Director, and serves as Legal Adviser in Corporate Law. She’s currently a professor in Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Chihuahua, where she teaches the classes of International Contracts, Enterprise Law and Intellectual Property, Legal Framework for Business, Legality, Responsibility in Business, in the new educational model Tec 21, both subjects in English.
Since 2006, the Attorney-in-law Eleonora González Villaverde serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Vive Sin Cancer, A.C., and since 2008 she serves as Chairman of the same Board of Directors. In March 2020, she was named by the Foro Jurídico magazine as one of the most influential women lawyers in Mexico. In the year 2021, she joined the Board of Directors of Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa, Colegio de Abogados, and the Board of Directors of Consejo Directivo de la Fundación Index Chihuahua, A.C.
